Fund Accountant

Company Background BTG Pactual is the largest investment bank in Latin America with ~$497 Billion in assets and wealth under management. Global Alternatives, a division of BTG Pactual, has ~$12.1 billion in AUM and invests in specialized alternatives across the U.S. and Latin America across three platforms, Timberland Investment Group, U.S. Credit and Hybrid Solutions (including Strategic Capital, U.S. Private Credit Investments, and Performing Credit), and U.S. Principal Investments. Position Overview This position will work across BTG Pactual Global Alternatives’ strategies including private equity, private credit, and direct private investments (collectively, the “Funds”). This position has been created due to AUM growth and increased responsibilities within the group. This new hire will be involved in all aspects of the business including accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, tax, treasury, valuation, operations and overall finance-related functions of the Funds and the investment manager. Key Responsibilities Help ensure the accurate and timely presentation of financial statements and footnote disclosure for the FundsAssist in coordinating external auditsSupport communication with outside service providers (administrators, auditors, tax consultants, etc.)Assist with Funds’ expense accruals, tracking/payment, allocationsPrepare quarterly NAVs for private equity and private credit vehiclesAssist in review of new fund creation and closing of investment transactionsCoordinate with administrator on capital calls, distributions and other investor communicationsPerform treasury functions for FundsAssist in preparation of regulatory and compliance reportingAssist in tracking portfolio investments, including maintenance of private credit interest schedules and reconciliation of interest income and principal paymentsAssist with investor questions and other investor relations tasks as neededComplete ad hoc project based work Key Experiences and Competencies Strong academic backgroundTeam player with excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills2-3 years of relevant public accounting work experience in the asset management industry, preferably with private equity and/or private credit experienceExcellent analytical and communications skills, problem solving and multitasking abilities. Very organized.Self-starter, motivated and takes ownership over work product. Ability to work independently.Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelCPA License preferred.
