About the role
SEI’s Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) is seeking a Fund Accountant to join our Alternative Investment Funds accounting team. In this role, you will act as an intermediary between funds and their investment managers, serving as the official record keeper for hedge and private equity funds. You will provide exceptional accounting and administration services, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using external pricing resources.
- Perform reconciliations of Net Asset Values (NAVs) and provide accounting reports.
- Communicate fund transactions and work closely with internal and external clients to deliver accurate accounting packages.
- Coordinate and support year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
- Perform due diligence to ensure client compliance with government laws and regulations.
- Correspond with external investment managers on day-to-day fund inquiries, including fee payments, cash position breaks, and reconciliations.
- Engage in professional development sessions to identify process improvements across the division and organization.

Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
- Internship experience preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple client deliverables without sacrificing quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client support via email and phone.
- Strong customer service skills for daily communication with internal and external clients.

Pay
The base salary for this role is $68,950–$83,000 per year.
