Functional UAT Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Functional UAT Lead to support a fast-paced enterprise environment. This is a hands-on manual testing role responsible for creating test plans, writing and executing test scripts, managing defects, and partnering with Product, Project Management, and Development teams to validate new functionality before release. This role supports a high volume of short-duration enhancements rather than a few long-term projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts from business requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Document, track, and retest defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Partner with Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and validate fixes.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and release readiness.
- Manage multiple concurrent testing efforts in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation and traceability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Manual QA, Functional Testing, or User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Proven experience creating manual test plans and test scripts from business requirements.
- Strong experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working in enterprise environments supporting frequent software releases.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing SAP applications (SAP Commerce, SAP S/4HANA, or similar).
- Background supporting retail, e-commerce, contact center, or customer service platforms.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who has led manual UAT efforts in a high-volume enterprise environment. Rather than spending months on a single implementation, you've successfully managed multiple testing initiatives simultaneously—creating test plans, executing testing, driving defect resolution, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver high-quality releases.
