Functional Safety Engineer
What You’ll Do
- Deliver verified Functional Safety concepts and design specifications.
- Find and apply the best method for any PS&S design engineering activity.
- Analyze incoming Functional Safety requirements and resolve all open technical questions.
- Add Functional Safety Engineer controls as elements and functions to the existing hardware and software designs.
- Derive Functional Safety design specifications from the reviewed and approved Functional Safety control designs.
- Document and verify all added Functional Safety requirements for software and hardware with the other relevant design & test engineers.

What To Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Functional Safety roles.
- Comprehension of vision hardware and software, as well as PS&S engineering methods and design patterns.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
What Will Help

- Familiarity with Functional Safety frameworks (e.g., ISO21434, ISO27001, ISO26262).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The position is full-time and works onsite at a Gentex facility.
