Functional Safety Engineer
What's the Job?
Identify hazards and risks using Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
Support the definition of safety requirements and implement measures throughout the product development lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into design, development, verification, and validation processes.
Conduct safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, and STPA to identify potential failure modes and mitigation strategies.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in robotics, automotive, or heavy machinery industries.
- Relevant certifications such as CFSE, CFSP, AFSP, or similar credentials are highly preferred.
- Proficient understanding of functional safety standards and safety lifecycle processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
