Functional Manager I, Product Management

About the role

The Product Manager, ERP oversees the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day management of the company's ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision and Deltek Costpoint). This role leads the upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, managing the project from planning through go-live while also acting as a secondary product manager for Deltek Costpoint. The incumbent evaluates ERP functionality, prioritizes enhancement requests from business process owners, and serves as business analyst, project manager, QA/tester, and trainer throughout the system development lifecycle. Strong communication skills are required to translate between finance/accounting stakeholders and technical teams, and the role may oversee internal staff or external implementation partners during the NAV-to-Business Central upgrade. This is an office/home office position that requires remaining stationary for multiple hours each day, continuous communication via approved tools, and up to 5% travel to office or partner sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary business point of contact for Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central and secondary/backup for Deltek Costpoint
• Lead and manage the upgrade project from Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including planning, requirements gathering, partner/vendor coordination, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support
• Serve as the ongoing business owner for Deltek Costpoint, including enhancement requests, configuration changes, and issue triage/escalation/resolution
• Build and maintain the ERP product roadmap, leveraging business priorities and product/market knowledge
• Scope proposed system modifications and enhancement requests for level of effort and return on investment
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, and other business process owners to gather requirements and prioritize the ERP roadmap
• Monitor and continually enhance ERP effectiveness, data integrity, and user adoption across Business Central and Costpoint
• Contribute to documentation for projects, bug fixes, testing plans, and application planning
• Be highly responsive, flexible and collaborative

Requirements

• BS or BA in Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
