About the role

RSU3 is seeking a dynamic special education teacher at Mount View Elementary School in their K-5 functional life skills program.

Responsibilities

• Experience in inclusive programming
• Positive behavior plans
• Working with students with autism spectrum disorders
• Flexibility to program for students with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collecting and utilizing academic and behavioral data to drive instruction and daily living skills curriculum
• Supervising and collaborating with educational technicians

Requirements

• Current Safety Care Authorization (or can be trained by the district)
• Current Maine Gr. K-8 Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification (282E)
• Current CHRC (Criminal History Records Check) or be able to obtain it
