Tasks and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality gene expression data within defined timelines, including qRT-PCR, RNA-seq, and custom assay development.
- Interpret complex project requirements and independently design scientifically robust functional genomics assays to meet research objectives.
- Develop and communicate clear, data-driven technical reports with well-founded conclusions and actionable recommendations for stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and proactive problem solver, addressing technical challenges, providing technical guidance, and enabling project success across the pipeline.
- Contribute to functional genomics strategy, including workflow automation, evaluation of emerging technologies, and continuous improvement of pipeline capabilities.
- Collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines, demonstrating flexibility, strong partnership, and inclusive ways of working to advance project goals and deliver impactful innovations.
Qualifications
- PhD with relevant experience, or MS with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or BS with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with independent execution of gene expression assays and RNA sample extraction from diverse tissue types.
- Strong foundation in genomics, with the ability to design and execute assays, analyze data, and translate results into clear scientific conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability, with the ability to provide technical guidance and influence stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams and contribute to an inclusive, respectful workplace.
