About the role

Spurwink is looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. You will receive evidence-based training in the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model as you work with families. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of FFT. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 10 - 18 make life-transforming changes. The course of FFT treatment is 3-6 months.

This position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in 4 installments of $1,250 upon ninety days, six months, nine months, and one year of full-time employment. You may be eligible for additional compensation by exceeding billable and model fidelity expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical treatment using the FFT treatment model and principles, including:
    • Leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive
    • Interrupting blame and negativity in family meetings
    • Changing focus and reframing as necessary

Requirements

  • LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, LCPC-c, LMFT, or LMFT-c (new grads encouraged to apply)
  • Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule including late afternoons or evenings
  • Provide counseling in families' homes, in an office-based setting, and via telehealth
  • Current driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving policy

Mileage is reimbursed.
