Community Horizons is assisting a member in finding a friendly, dependable Community Companion to support an adult with disabilities in enjoying meaningful time in the St Germain community. This role focuses on companionship, safety, and helping the individual participate in activities they enjoy at their own pace and comfort level. Responsibilities

• Provide companionship during community outings (e.g., walks, shopping, library visits, local events)
• Support communication needs with patience and respect
• Encourage independence while offering calm, steady guidance
• Ensure safety and comfort during transportation and activities
• Build a positive, trusting relationship centered on dignity and personal choice

Requirements

• Kind, patient, and reliable
• Comfortable supporting individuals with developmental or communication differences
• Strong listening skills and respect for personal boundaries
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
