Fully Funded KSJ Fellowship Program in the USA 2025-26

The fully funded Knight Science Journalism (KSJ) Fellowship Program is provided annually in the United States. Students interested in studying a combination of fields including science, technology, and journalism have a great chance here. Participants will be allowed to learn and get experience from top colleges worldwide. Ten students from various nations worldwide will receive Knight Science Journalism fellowships. The duration of this research-based program in the USA is 9.5 months. International students will work on a research topic specifically connected to journalism. In order to give students the opportunity to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds, the program will host social events. In addition to conducting official academic studies, this fully funded fellowship will plan fascinating field visits to other places. This program’s goal is to use workshops to teach students new technical skills. Benefits of the KSJ Fellowship The fellowship awardees will get a total compensation of $85,000 for 9.5 months. At the start of the fellowship, a stipend for lodging and travel will be given along with access to health insurance for participants and their families. Education Eligibility Criteria for KSJ Fellowship Journalists must be employed full-time to apply. This is true for both freelancing and staff jobs. Producers and writers who work part-time are not eligible. Three years or more of experience in science, medicine, or journalism is required. Applications are open to journalists, media writers, media reporters, and filmmakers. Participants should not have participated in any four-month fellowship program during the preceding two years. Three recommendation letters that contain all of the recommenders’ information are required. Academic Conferences & Publications Application for the KSJ Fellowship Register by making a free Submittable account. Complete the online application process. Enclose any pertinent paperwork. Applications that are not completed will not be accepted. Although they can be filed until January 21, 2025, recommendation letters are preferred before this date. Applications that are not comprehensive will not be taken into consideration. Applications are reviewed by a team of eminent scientific journalists from January to March. Semifinalists are chosen for video interviews and informed in early March. At this point, non-semifinalists are also notified.
