Full Time Virtual Teacher, English/Language Arts (MT)

About the role

As a Virtual English/Language Arts Teacher, you will be the face and voice of Edmentum for students, delivering live, synchronous, on-camera instruction. This role is for educators who thrive in a fast-moving digital environment and believe that great live teaching is the core of great learning, regardless of the medium.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience that inspires student participation and achievement.
• Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt your approach to meet each student where they are.
• Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records that keep students and families informed and on track.
• Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication that fosters trust and shared accountability for learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience.
• Take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Active Montana state teaching license with an endorsement in English/Language Arts, grades 6-12.
• Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
• Comfortable with the unique demands of a live online classroom, including teaching live for five (5) or more consecutive hours per day, every instructional day.
• Confident and engaging on camera, able to build real connection with students through a screen.
• Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
• Data-informed: able to read student performance data and use it to adjust live instruction in meaningful ways.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and self-directed, with strong time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment.
• Commitment to professional growth, maintaining certification, and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

Pay

Pay range for this role: $45,000—$50,000 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and skill sets.
