Full Time Utility Locator

Experienced Locators are preferred, but we also accept inexperienced applicants and provide paid training.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of a company supervisor to perform visual inspections of predefined construction areas.
- Read and interpret utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities.
- Use special electronic equipment to locate and protect utilities from damage, including gas, electric, water, cable, sewer, and more.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successfully pass pre-employment screenings: drug test, background check, and driving record.
- Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines.
- Able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule.
- Able to self-manage and communicate with supervisors and clients in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests.
- Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations.
- Learn and apply safety measures relating to motor vehicle operation and other field-related matters.

Schedule
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Outdoor work environment with up to 10-12 miles of walking on different terrains.
- Driving a company vehicle to and from work sites (40-100+ miles daily as required by the assigned geographic locating area).
