Full Time Teller - Centereach
What You’ll Do
The Teller contributes to the success of the branch by delivering exceptional member experiences while processing transactions and fostering long-lasting relationships.
Core Contributions
Operations
- Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently using FourLeaf systems, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, issuing bank checks, money orders, gift cards, and processing Speed Deposit and Night Drop transactions, if applicable.
- Make sound decisions adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements, such as determining check holds in accordance with funds availability policy.
- Identify red flags based on risk guidelines and escalate to supervisors when necessary.
- Manage teller line and drive-up traffic to minimize wait times.
Member Experience
- Provide exceptional member experiences by cultivating relationships.
- Identify member needs and recommend beneficial products and services.
- Refer members to the platform or business partners to further assist with banking needs.
- Engage with members as they enter the branch by welcoming them.
- Assist with lobby management by checking in with members waiting for platform services.
- Process requests manageable at the teller line, such as printing debit cards, submitting fraud claims and disputes, etc.
Compliance
- Participate in opening/closing procedures, daily reports, audit tasks, and dual control to support the branch.
- Maintain controls, reconciliations, and reports as required, including verifying currency, balancing cash boxes/cash recyclers (TCR), daily reports, CTRs, and SARs.
- Stay current with and adhere to policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
- Identify and handle existing, emerging risks and fraud trends to minimize exposure to members and FourLeaf.
- Comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control.

- Participate in the overall success of the individual, branch, Retail Banking, and organizational goals by meeting or exceeding assigned performance goals and metrics.
Assets You Will Bring
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–4 years of customer service and cash handling experience.
- Proficiency with PC, Windows, and internet.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, superior member service, excellent communication, and time management.
The expected salary for this role is $20 per hour.
