Full-Time Store Associate

Pay

Starting wage: $20.00 per hour.

• Year 2: $20.50 per hour
• Year 3: $21.00 per hour
• Year 4: $21.60 per hour
• Year 5: $22.10 per hour

Schedule

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock product, following planograms to maximize sales.
• Cashiering: accurately scan and process purchases using the POS system, adhere to cash policies, and open additional check lanes as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and model all customer‑service principles; escalate concerns to store management.
• Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and delivering to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
• Comply with all company policies and processes.
• Support a safe working environment by identifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment.
• Adhere to inventory procedures and product‑handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.

Physical Demands

• Push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move throughout the store.
• Lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 lb on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
• Operate equipment such as cash registers, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
• Stock product in freezer and cooler environments.
• Use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Qualifications

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate store equipment (cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.).
• Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance and meet availability requirements.

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience preferred.
