Full-Time Sonographer (Willow Park)

Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an outpatient imaging environment. The ideal candidate will prioritize patient safety, education, comfort, and excellent image quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain relevant medical history
• Explain procedures, answer questions, and help reduce patient anxiety
• Properly position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Evaluate images for quality and completeness before concluding each examination
• Accurately document patient care and examination details in the RIS/PACS
• Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA requirements
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-response policies
• Perform required equipment quality-control checks and report malfunctions promptly
• Maintain current professional and technical knowledge
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and professional standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, coworkers, and referring offices to support efficient patient care
• Assist with other related duties as needed

Requirements

• Current ARDMS certification
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of ultrasound safety standards, procedures, and equipment
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
