Full-Time Software Engineer (API/Digital Services)

About the role

A Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining technologies for eCommerce and Loyalty platforms, translating business requirements into technical designs, mentoring junior engineers, and solving complex technical problems. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless API integration and optimize application performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and support software applications, primarily REST/gRPC services.
• Design changes to existing applications and document unit/system-level tests.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide production support.
• Collaborate with frontend/backend teams, monitor API performance, and improve system efficiency.
• Write high-quality, scalable, and testable code, employing test-driven development.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to code reviews and project estimations.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years in software development with expertise in RESTful APIs using .NET and C#.
• Experience supporting eCommerce applications and working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with event-driven systems and messaging platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
