About the role

We run TikTok pages that consistently reach millions of views and are looking for a full-time editor to take ownership of the editing work alongside us, long-term. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, self-sufficiency in sourcing assets, and excellent English comprehension. Success hinges on editing quality and the ability to match visuals to scripts independently.

Responsibilities

• Edit daily short-form vertical content (TikTok/Reels/Shorts), including talking heads and voiceover/b-roll.
• Cut dead space to maintain pacing and eliminate drag in videos.
• Stitch the strongest takes into one seamless piece.
• Add image overlays to support the narrative, including zooms, crops, and reframing for dynamic visuals.
• Build b-roll sequences: match provided voiceovers with footage line-by-line.
• Source your own overlay assets by reading scripts and independently finding high-quality, aesthetically strong images (e.g., celebrities, influencers, brand screenshots, or relevant posts).
• Place assets precisely on the beat of the script, ensuring visuals align with tone, humor, and references.
• Review exports for overlooked details and apply feedback promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience editing short-form vertical video (TikTok/Reels/Shorts).
• Proficiency in CapCut or any software that allows quick, high-quality output.
• Ability to source your own images, screenshots, and reference material online with strong aesthetic judgment.
• Reliable internet and a computer capable of handling daily editing without issues.
• Full-time availability with flexibility to overlap with our working hours (PH or similar time zone).
• Ability to receive payment via Wise.
• Comfort with direct feedback and applying it immediately.
• Exclusivity: no other clients, agencies, or subcontracting.
• Strong English comprehension (understanding is essential; polished speaking/writing is a bonus).
• Responsive communication during working hours.
• Familiarity with internet and pop culture is advantageous.

• Attention to detail (e.g., catching frames held too long or misaligned overlays).
• Self-sufficiency in sourcing and selecting visuals without relying on provided folders.
• Ability to evaluate scripts for tone, humor, and references to choose appropriate assets.

Examples of the work

Pay

$1,000 USD/month starting, paid via Wise, with potential for performance bonuses. Compensation grows with skill, results, and contributions to the pages.
