Full-Time Security Specialist (Retail) - Aurora

Job Summary

Full-time position available. Open availability required. Hourly wage of $17.50 per hour.

About the role

The on-site Security Specialist ensures the safety and security of staff, patients, and property. Key responsibilities include interacting with employees and patients, verifying patient IDs, monitoring cash pick-ups, operating security cameras, conducting patrols, and assisting with product deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Interact with employees and patients to maintain a comfortable and safe environment
• Check and verify all patient ID's prior to admitting them onto the dispensary floor
• Maintain regular patrols around and inside the property
• Operate under regulatory requirements set forth by the State
• Assist in product delivery as needed
• Provide operational retail support to leadership including audits, batch record data uploads, and other tasks to ensure regular compliance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of previous security/protection experience required
• High level nightclub, bar, jewelry store, or event management protection experience preferred
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
• Must undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances)
• Passionate about security and safety
• Able to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Physical and mental demands include remaining in a stationary position, moving and/or positioning oneself, communicating, operating and/or preparing, placing, positioning objects, tools, or controls
• Must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb
• Able to stand up to 90% of the time
• Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus
