About the role

Lowe’s Pro Desk specialists drive sales growth by building relationships with professional customers, understanding their project needs, and delivering tailored solutions. This role involves managing quotes, orders, and deliveries while promoting Lowe’s credit and loyalty programs to increase Pro customer engagement and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales goals by proactively engaging Pro customers to identify current and future project opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Pro customers' businesses and project needs, including scope, timelines, dependencies, and material requirements.
  • Create and manage quotes, blueprints, material lists, orders, and deliveries aligned to the Pro customer’s project.
  • Promote Pro Credit and Lowe’s Loyalty Programs to generate new Pro accounts, increasing average tickets and transactions.
  • Coordinate fulfillment, delivery, and follow-up activities to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Prospect for new Pro customers by walking the sales floor and reviewing Top Accounts in MyRedVest.
  • Utilize Pro Extended Aisle and Pro Merchandising programs to secure sales when products or quantities are unavailable in-store or within Lowe’s distribution network.
  • Partner with salesfloor, fulfillment, and outside sales teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized Pro Desk area while supporting overall store operations.
  • Leverage Lowe’s U and training platforms to stay updated on key product and selling-skill improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education, if applicable).
  • General Studies/External experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience.
  • 1 year of sales experience with the ability to identify and sell products based on customer needs.
  • 1 year of experience providing customer service, including resolving issues, assisting with product location, and building customer relationships.
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree.
  • 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including special-order sales.
  • 1 year of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
  • 1 year of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
  • 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans (e.g., installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plans).
  • 1 year of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams.
  • Professional certification related to the specialist’s department.

Pay

$17.50 - $18.20 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training, and experience.
