Full-Time RN Injury Prevention Coordinator

About the Role

The RN Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator develops and implements injury-prevention programs across the care continuum, leveraging data, community needs, and evidence-based practices to improve safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering targeted injury-prevention initiatives based on trauma registry data and community assessments
• Building partnerships with EMS, public health, schools, and community organizations to promote injury prevention
• Leading outreach and education efforts for nurses, EMS providers, and high-risk populations, ensuring compliance with ACS standards
• Translating trauma research, data trends, and national guidelines into practical strategies and interventions
• Coordinating communication of prevention priorities among stakeholders to enhance awareness and engagement
• Monitoring compliance with trauma standards and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention programs

Requirements

• RN license with a Bachelor's Degree
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, and Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Experience in ER or ICU settings, preferably ER
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
