About the role
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for achieving and maintaining all client and customer standards by overseeing and directing activities of Retail Sales Representatives and Merchandisers within an assigned territory. This person works closely with Business Development Managers, Clients, Store Managers, and various retail personnel to ensure retail business objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct retail associates, conduct store audits, and execute all retail projects.
- Maintain client objectives by ensuring product(s) are fully stocked, correctly signed, properly faced, and set to schematics.
- Build goodwill with trade and clients, ensure timely new item retail placement, and complete all retail projects to achieve in-store retail excellence goals.
- Increase brand representation and effectiveness by establishing and maintaining trade and client relationships, and conducting client work with appointments.
- Achieve business objectives through placement of new items in all authorized stores.
- Authorize items to meet client shelf schematic standards.
- Oversee call coverage through scheduling merchandisers and reviewing reports.
- Control budgeting and expenses with the goal of coming in under budget.
- Complete accurate and timely paperwork, reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, and expense reports.
- Hire, retain, train, coach, guide, and direct direct reports using company-wide processes, tools, and resources.
- Delegate work and provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to indirect reports as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years of applicable retail experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment with frequent changes and competing deadlines.
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Internet usage.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Travel up to 30% may be required.
