FULL-TIME Registered Nurse in Emergency Department - 72 Hour Mid Shift with Benefits

About the role

The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering patient care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department during mid-shifts. This position is eligible for the Full-time Employee Reduced Benefits (FERB) program and can participate in a Recruitment Incentive.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Meet established Standards of Nursing Care.
• Manage assigned personnel.
• Promote collaboration among healthcare disciplines.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.
• One year recent acute nursing experience preferred.
• Certified in ACLS and PALS, or obtain certification during orientation period.
• Demonstrate skill in written and oral communication.
• Able to work all shifts.
• Certified in CPR.
• Possess positive customer service skills.

Working Conditions

• Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds approximately 5% of the day.
• Sitting approximately 15% of the day.
• Standing and walking approximately 60% of the day.
• Pushing and pulling approximately 10% of the day.
• Twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending approximately 5% of the day.
• Reaching at or above shoulder level approximately 5% of the day.
