About the role
Provide direct nursing care within the Women's Special Care department, primarily during night shifts, with responsibilities extending across Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients. Serve as a clinical leader, mentor new staff, and assume relief charge duties to ensure quality patient care and a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, individualized patient care, including medication administration, testing, and procedures.
- Implement and document care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, considering age-specific needs and discharge planning.
- Assist with emergency measures and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Participate in orientation, precepting, and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure accurate medical records and effective communication, including triaging calls.
- Promote patient safety by following policies, reporting hazards, and encouraging patient participation in care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program; RN licensure in NM or reciprocal agreement.
- CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days.
- No minimum experience required; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in environments with biohazards and chemicals.
