Full-Time Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations in a high-mix, rapid development manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own production execution across assembly, rapid prototyping, and process development lines, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets are met.
• Manage and develop supervisors and frontline teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive daily production planning, resource allocation, and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, implement 5S, standard work, and EHS compliance.
• Partner with engineering, quality, and planning teams to align capacity with build requirements and support new product launches.
• Monitor operational metrics, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and manage workforce planning, training, and cross-training.
• Ensure equipment readiness and coordinate with maintenance and facilities for uptime and operational efficiency.
• Promote open communication and collaboration across teams to ensure a productive, safe, and engaged work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 7+ years in manufacturing operations or production management, with at least 3 years managing teams.
• Experience in pilot, prototype, or NPI environments with high product variability and changeovers.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience, familiarity with lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Six Sigma certification.
• 10+ years of leadership in hardware manufacturing.
• Experience in complex industries like aerospace or automotive.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven track record in high-growth, ambiguous settings.
