As a Childcare Teacher, you will help provide a fun, safe, and educational environment for children, fostering innovation, creativity, and lasting relationships with caring adult role models.

This full-time, hourly position requires 40 hours per week, with shifts ranging between 6:45 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, at our Brockton Center.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a program of activities ensuring each child’s personal safety while providing enrichment, physical challenges, and learning experiences.
• Uphold the employee code of conduct and ensure all job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y and regulating agencies.
• Maintain compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC standards, and Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care Policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy).
• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with EEC regulations, NAEYC standards, and Old Colony YMCA’s policies.
• Tailor lesson plans to individual children’s interests, abilities, special talents, cultural diversity, and learning pace.
• Lead daily activities and manage classroom arrangement, appearance, and overall learning environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age or a high school diploma or equivalent and meet EEC requirements for education and experience for Teacher.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
• EEC Teacher Certification.
