About the role
Marksman Security is seeking a dependable, alert, and service-driven Patrol Officer to protect one of our newest client sites. This role calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to keeping people and property safe.
Responsibilities
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct
- Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or the presence of unauthorized persons by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams
- Make periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports
- Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications, and use email
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and appearance
- Manage multiple tasks, execute radio and telephone communications, and perform in a high-pressure environment
- Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor
Qualifications
- Two years of customer service experience
- One year of security experience
- Law enforcement experience
- Corrections experience
- Military experience
Requirements
- Valid GA Security License
- Valid GA Driver's License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
- Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
- Familiarity with report writing
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
- Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
