Full-Time Overnight Mental Health Support Specialist - Deaf Supported Living Program (Minneapolis, MN)

About the role

We are seeking a Full-Time Mental Health Support Specialist to provide care and support to clients at our Deaf Supported Living program, a unique residential program serving Deaf, Deaf/Blind, and Hard of Hearing adults through person-centered support, mental health services, and independent living skill development in an ASL-accessible environment.

Responsibilities

• Must have physical presence onsite.
• Document interactions with clients into the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and, if applicable, program-specific documentation/record-keeping system, while providing clear and concise communication with clients, staff, and other applicable parties.
• Effectively interact and exhibit behavior consistent with customer service and professional standards established by the organization, division, and program.
• Responsible for medication administration in accordance with organization and program policies and procedures.
• Using person-centered principles, actively engage with clients in their daily activities and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support clients in meeting their individual goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
• Teach and/or coach independent living skills as they relate to the individual’s goals and/or treatment plans.
• Full-time staff are part of an on-call rotation.
• Attend mandatory team meetings.

Schedule

Full-Time, Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Overnight Position)

Pay

• Hiring range: $20.50/hour
• Shift differential of $1/hour for shifts worked between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM
• Shift differential of $1/hour for shifts worked between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM
• $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates
