Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service by assisting customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and answer questions by guiding them through store areas and projects.
  • Demonstrate appreciation to customers and communicate information about stock, special orders, feature benefits, applications, and warranties.
  • Support checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, and requests for assistance promptly.
  • Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental.
  • Cross-train in other store areas to enhance customer service.
  • Generate leads for Project Specialist Exterior (PSE) programs by engaging customers about their project needs.
  • Use store systems to prioritize loads, print pricing labels, and check item prices and inventory.
  • Down stock merchandise by replenishing empty shelf areas.
  • Prepare merchandise based on customer requirements and specifications.
  • Monitor merchandise entering and leaving the store to assist customers or associates triggering alarms.
  • Detect and report signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks to management or Asset Protection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and work areas through housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing doors and gates.
  • Adhere to safety requirements, including top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, and using aisle blockers and tether lines.
  • Operate store equipment such as Zebra phones, computers, pallet jacks, lifts, and CCTV systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities for PROs in a Lowe’s Outlet

  • Provide exceptional customer service using SEEK – LEARN – BUILD in all customer interactions.
  • Assist Pro customers by walking them to the correct aisle and bay to locate products.
  • Help Pro customers load products into their vehicles for a faster shopping experience.
  • Understand and explain Pro Loyalty, Pro Credit, MSH, Volume Savings, and Pro Delivery programs.
  • Use SMART phones and sales terminals to enroll customers in beneficial programs.
  • Process walk-up, phone, email, and online orders using point-of-sale terminals.
  • Verify product availability and cost with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities for the Outlet Department

  • Ensure a positive shopping experience by maintaining accurate pricing and signage.
  • Process sales transactions using the cash register according to company guidelines.
  • Deliver excellent customer service during checkout to encourage repeat visits.
  • Complete freight and merchandising fulfillments, move stock upon delivery, schedule shipments, and verify order accuracy.
  • Process returns to Distribution Centers and dispose of or return items appropriately.
  • Coordinate and support deliveries, answer questions, and solve delivery-related problems.
  • Inspect merchandise before loading and delivery, prepare items, and verify invoices against loaded items.
  • Maintain cleanliness of interior areas (e.g., bathrooms, breakrooms) and exterior areas (e.g., parking lots).
  • Ensure safety by checking for leaks, spills, unsafe displays, and performing preventative maintenance.

Pay

$17.05 - $17.85 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
