About the role

Jovie is hiring experienced, engaging caregivers to provide in-home care for infants with local families throughout Santa Monica. This is a great opportunity for childcare professionals seeking a rewarding nanny job with daytime hours, supportive leadership, and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing care for infants and toddlers
• Support feeding, naps, and daily routines
• Encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities
• Communicate with parents about their child’s day
• Create a positive environment where children can learn and grow

Schedule

• Monday-Friday availability preferred
• Most shifts occur between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Typical shifts are 6-9 hours

Requirements

• At least 1 year of infant childcare experience
• Love working with infants
• Dependable and professional
• Communicate well with parents and children
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Can provide references (at least 2 related to childcare work; 1 character reference)
• At least 18 years old

Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings, not to include experience working with family and friends.

Pay

$20-22/hour + overtime pay
