Full-Time Nursing Director

About the Role

Oversees the Nursing Department in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to deliver high-quality resident care. Responsible for managing staff, overseeing Education, Infection Prevention, and Wound Management programs, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, and supervise nursing operations and staff performance
• Coordinate infection control and wound care programs
• Assist in evaluating and implementing nursing care services
• Train, orient, and educate nursing staff as needed
• Supervise safety practices and standards in nursing practice
• Manage emergency situations and assume charge nurse duties if required
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members regarding care concerns
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing in New York State
• Wound Care Certification; SigmaCare experience a plus
• Supervisory or managerial experience in a long-term care or similar setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or five years of supervisory experience
