About the Role

Hotel Clio, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Denver's Cherry Creek North, seeks innovative leaders to join our team. This role involves auditing, balancing, and reporting on various hotel areas to ensure accuracy, policy compliance, and fraud prevention while providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, balance, and report on hotel areas (e.g., food and beverage outlets, front desk, gift shop) to ensure company policies are followed and fraud is prevented.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to arriving, departing, and in-house guests, including handling inquiries about reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
  • Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets, including cash and credit operations, deposits, counts, and promotional materials.
  • Audit, balance, post, and report on front desk operations, including room charges, phone calls, adjustments, taxes, and disputed charges to ensure accuracy and proper cash handling.
  • Prepare and report room information to provide management with performance insights.
  • Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily and run the night audit final after ensuring all revenues are balanced.
  • Complete check-in and check-out procedures for guests using manual and computerized methods.
  • Maintain customer relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to answer guest questions and concerns.
  • Operate PBX equipment, including handling incoming/outgoing calls, scheduling wake-up calls, and paging guests.
  • Perform Front Desk Clerk duties, including express checkouts.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Accounting background preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate personal computers, cash registers, and calculators.
  • Strong skills in compiling facts and figures, telephone etiquette, and guest relations.
  • Moderate hearing, excellent vision, speech communication, comprehension, and literacy for reading reports and numbers.

Physical Demands

  • 90% of shift spent standing, with repeated bending and kneeling for filing.
  • Must be able to reach all hotel areas to assist clients.
  • Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

Prolonged standing at an indoor, thermostatically controlled workstation under fluorescent lighting. Work is primarily indoors (95%).

Pay

USD $21.00 per hour.
