Responsibilities
- Maintain patient records
- Administer treatments such as nebulization, oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol therapies
- Monitor patient responses
- Prepare for treatments
- Review physician orders
- Gather equipment
- Explain procedures to patients
- Perform invasive procedures like suctioning and blood gas sampling
- Respond to codes in emergency situations
- Assist with transport and resuscitation efforts
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- NBRC-RRT certification
- State driver's license if applicable
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of airway management
Qualifications
- Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Act as charge therapist in the absence of supervisors
