About the role

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in Hernando County and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pets and families in need
• Work flexible 2-5 day-per-week schedules
• Enjoy an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance

Qualifications

• Experience in hospice and euthanasia care preferred
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working with end-of-life situations

Pay

• 4-day positions starting at $85,000
• 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000
