Compensation & Scheduling

Compensation: $45,000-$55,000 annually, DOE. Flexible scheduling includes varied hours, evenings, weekends (two weekends per month), and holidays. Average 42 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals while providing excellent customer service
  • Answer questions about merchandise and follow instructions from customers
  • Analyze reports and make decisions about inventory, merchandise arrangement, and sales trends
  • Stock shelves, tables, and counters with merchandise according to Scheels standards
  • Set up advertising, signs, and merchandise to promote sales
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and outside sales representatives
  • Train associates on merchandise use and basic knowledge
  • Prepare for and facilitate required product knowledge and sales meetings
  • Attend weekly required sales and product knowledge training meetings
  • Communicate professionally with customers, clients, and colleagues
  • Work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • Genuine and consistent treatment of co-workers, customers, and business partners
  • A deep desire to become a knowledge expert in their role
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, perform basic math, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical requirements: must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 months related experience or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
