About the role

Think Academy Irvine is seeking a Full-Time Onsite Math Content Teacher to join our team. This position includes responsibilities as an AMC Competition Coach and a Middle School Academic Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 2–3 AMC competition classes (approximately 5-7.5 hours) per week
  • Design year-round AMC preparation plans
  • Develop problem sets, mock exams, and training materials
  • Track student progress and competition readiness
  • Contribute to consistent, measurable AMC outcomes at the campus level
  • Design and refine the middle school math academic pathway
  • Ensure alignment between regular middle school math courses and advanced tracks
  • Prepare for and lead AMC competition preparation
  • Provide academic guidance and content support to middle school teachers
  • Participate in academic diagnostics for middle school students
  • Serve as an academic authority in parent-facing academic discussions when needed

Requirements

You must have a Bachelor’s degree or above, with a preference for majors in Education or STEM fields. Prior math teaching experiences are a plus, but not required. Strong personal background in math competitions (AMC/AIME/national or regional awards) is also desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to commit to at least one whole semester of teaching.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, all majors welcome
  • Prior math teaching experiences a plus, but not required
  • Strong personal background in math competitions (AMC/AIME/national or regional awards)
  • Passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to improve education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly responsible and enjoy working with kids
  • Willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends
