About the Role
According to prescribed policies and procedures—including all applicable state, federal, and accreditation regulations—and under the supervision of the Director of Life Enrichment/Life Enrichment Leader, you will assist in planning and executing all life enrichment activities for senior residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Life Enrichment/Life Enrichment Leader in scheduling and developing life enrichment activities.
- Assist in recruiting, directing, and supervising all volunteers.
- Act on behalf of the Director of Life Enrichment when they are not in the facility.
- Lead activities on scheduled work days.
- Demonstrate and maintain a positive, professional manner; manage time efficiently; provide leadership as a role model to promote a team approach.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and terms set forth in the Employee Information Guide, Code of Conduct, and facility handbook, including compliance, drug-free workplace, and safety practices.
- Ensure all care is provided with respect and dignity for residents, families, and staff; report complaints, allegations of abuse, or misappropriation of funds/property.
- Complete all annual education requirements, including compliance, privacy, security, and HIPAA training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completed high school education or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience working with the elderly.
- Good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the World Wide Web.

- Lifting/Carrying: Sometimes (25-49% of the time) 10-25 lbs; Rarely (0-24% of the time) 26-50 lbs, 51-75 lbs, or 76+ lbs.
- Postures/Movements: Rarely climbing, stooping, pushing, or pulling.
- Positions: Sometimes standing or sitting; Sometimes walking.
- Driving: Rarely required.
- Working Conditions: Exposure to noise, odors, illness, infection, and physical contact with disruptive residents.
- Consequences of Errors: Moderate monetary responsibility.
- Supervision Received: General supervision; employee operates independently and checks with supervisor when in doubt.
