About the Role
Teach specific courses within the School of Social Work. A background in Social Work and familiarity with the curriculum and teaching are essential.
Responsibilities
- Teach contractual load of courses as assigned by the department or school.
- Assign and submit grades in accordance with established University schedules.
- Keep posted office hours during the week scheduled at times most beneficial to students.
- Provide enrollment data and other required information such as corrected class lists.
- Engage in pursuits to remain current in respective disciplines.
- Confer periodically with the Department Head/School Director on curriculum and instruction issues.
- Provide support services to the department, college, and/or university, if applicable.
- Perform related departmental duties as required.
Qualifications
- Lecturer I: Master's degree, or a Bachelor's degree plus thirty (30) graduate credit hours in a discipline directly related to the teaching assignment, or equivalent, as determined by the Department Head/School Director.
- Lecturer II: Master's degree plus thirty (30) hours toward a terminal degree, All But Dissertation status (ABD), or equivalent, as determined by the Department Head/School Director.
- Lecturer III: An earned doctorate, terminal degree recognized as equivalent to the doctorate, or equivalent as determined by the Department Head/School Director.
Preferred Qualifications
- LLMSW or LMSW.
