Full-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

This position functions as a Cashier and/or Stocker with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The role combines front‑line customer service, merchandising, and operational duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Unload delivery trucks and stock, rotate, and organize merchandise on the sales floor
• Assist with plan‑o‑gram implementation and maintain store displays
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including general cleaning duties
• Provide exceptional customer service: help customers locate merchandise and answer questions
• Operate the cash register for transactions — process payments, make change, bag items
• Open and close the store following established procedures
• Authorize refunds and manage cash registers
• Ensure security and cash‑control procedures are followed
• Maintain safety standards throughout the store

Qualifications

• Ability to operate cash‑handling equipment (registers, scanners, etc.)
• Strong customer‑service skills with a focus on helping shoppers
• Adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Attention to detail in merchandising, cash handling, and store presentation
• Teamwork orientation and willingness to perform multiple operational duties
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment
