Responsibilities
- Teach courses in a variety of modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University.
- Teach 4.5-5.5 work units each quarter, equaling a full-time work schedule.
- Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to create an environment conducive to learning.
- Create high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student-centered learning, including synchronous sessions.
- Ensure clarity, relevance, and connection of class session objectives to course performance.
- Maintain an organized classroom and efficient use of class time.
- Demonstrate mastery of subject matter and articulate concepts effectively to students.
- Play an integral role in curriculum development and assessment for your area of expertise.
- Support students through availability for synchronous or asynchronous communication and meetings.
- Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as designated by the Dean.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Active Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered.
- Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- 1 year of clinical experience as an RN (2+ years preferred).
- Previous teaching/training experience (preferred).
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
- Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts, and applicable faculty immunization documentation required.

Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is $69,400.00 to $95,000.00. Starting pay is determined by job level, location, skill set, experience, training, and other business and organizational needs. This range is subject to change.
