Full-Time ICU/Stepdown RN

About the Role

This nursing role focuses on providing patient- and family-centered care by utilizing the nursing process to address patients' physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs while respecting individual cultural beliefs and values.

The position emphasizes integrating evidence-based practice, collaborating with patients and families for education and care planning, minimizing harm through adherence to protocols, and using data to improve care quality and safety.

Effective communication, cultural awareness, and clinical assessment skills are essential to deliver safe, compassionate, and coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process.
• Address patients' physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs while respecting cultural beliefs and values.
• Integrate evidence-based practice into care delivery.
• Collaborate with patients and families for education and care planning.
• Minimize harm through adherence to protocols and safety standards.
• Use data to improve care quality and safety.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in teamwork to support coordinated care.
• Provide patient education, medication management, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation.

Requirements

• Specialized diploma in nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Current RN licensure.
• Certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care, ICU, or step-down units is advantageous.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity in patient care.
