Full Time Host- Equipment Room

About the Role

A Host or Hostess will welcome patrons, seat them at tables or in the lounge, and help ensure the quality of the facility and service. The person in this position must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflicts, and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. All Bunkhouse employees are expected to greet all guests in close proximity and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcome. Furthermore, they must develop and maintain the company’s culture, values, and reputation in the public eye.

Responsibilities

• Ensure immediate response to guest comments and concerns, inform supervisors, and assist in implementing corrective measures.
• Provide guests with menus.
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and respond to complaints.
• Receive and record patrons' dining reservations using Resy.
• Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure dining details are handled properly.
• Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features.
• Direct patrons to waiting areas such as lounges.
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages (if applicable).
• Prepare cash receipts after establishments close.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Help hire and train other Hosts and Hostesses.
• Assist in planning functions or other special events and services.
• Perform other tasks and duties as needed or directed, based on fluctuating demands.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree preferred.
• Six (6) months of related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
• Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e., Property Management System).
