Full-Time Hospital Services Technician
About the role
Under management direction, a Hospital Services Worker travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is provided at regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.
Responsibilities
- Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Stericycle programs and services, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance and Document Management.
- Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
- Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
- Communicates duty status on a defined schedule.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
- On-site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers.
- 2 years industry‑related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or equivalent related work experience demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings and situations.
- Valid Driver's License.
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) preferred.
- Physical demands: extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing; must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
- Work environment: operates in inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions including inclement weather, heat and humidity.
Schedule
Schedule start time: 5 am. Monday: Elliot Hospital (Manchester, NH); Tuesday: Catholic Medical Center (Manchester, NH); Thursday: Eliot at River's Edge Medical Center (Manchester, NH) and Elliot Hospital (Manchester, NH); Friday: Catholic Medical Center (Manchester, NH). Free parking. Mileage reimbursed (certain conditions apply). Schedule is subject to change to meet customer's needs.
Pay
$23.00 per hour
