Full Time Grants Accounting Specialist

Reporting to the Grants Accounting Manager, the Grants Accounting Specialist assists in the management of the College’s grants/restricted funds by providing supervised financial accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the campus community with understanding and complying with grant requirements
• Monitor financial activity
• Initiate transactions such as billings and journal entries
• Compare activity against budget
• Assist in preparing external financial reports
• Support audits and program reviews

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting
• Three years of accounting experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (test required)
• Experience working with ERP systems

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Preferred: Experience in an educational or non-profit environment (fund accounting)
• Preferred: Experience with federal grants accounting

Pay

Starting from $53,400 annually.

Established in 1963, Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is the first community college in Ohio with a permanent campus.
