Full-Time Gastroenterologist

About the role

Seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient and outpatient gastrointestinal care, supervise fellows, and develop treatment plans. The role includes an academic appointment at a partnering medical school within a large municipal health system, emphasizing clinical excellence, teaching, and commitment to equitable patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies in a modern endoscopy suite.
• Provide weekend and evening call coverage.
• Supervise GI fellows on a rotating schedule.
• Mentor medical students and residents in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Qualifications

• Current NY State medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills in gastrointestinal procedures and patient care.
• Ability to supervise and mentor medical trainees.
