Full-Time EMS Transport Paramedic
Position Overview
Central Valley Fire District (CVFD) is seeking qualified and motivated Paramedics to join our EMS Transport Personnel Program. This full-time role is focused on non-emergency interfacility transports (IFTs) and supporting EMS 911 operations as directed by CVFD leadership. Reserve Paramedics play a vital role in expanding the district's EMS capacity while maintaining operational flexibility and providing high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking EMS initiative.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide advanced life support (ALS) during scheduled non-emergency transports
- Support EMS 911 responses under the direction of CVFD command staff
- Deliver professional, compassionate patient care and maintain detailed documentation
- Operate transport vehicles safely and in compliance with CVFD protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Paramedic certification (State of Montana or National Registry)
- Valid ACLS, PALS and BLS/CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of a background check
- Participation in a structured interview and medical scenario assessment
- Completion of CVFD orientation and adherence to district policies and protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in ALS-level interfacility or 911 EMS transport
- Familiarity with rural EMS operations and mutual aid coordination
