Full- Time Dietary Cook

About the role

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high‑quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. The position requires strict adherence to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards. The ideal candidate is resident‑focused, family‑oriented, a team builder, and excited about helping build a positive facility culture. Walk‑ins are welcome daily.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets according to individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings when necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches while maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health‑care facility preferred.
