Full Time Diet Clerk/Ambassador

Position Purpose

The Diet Clerks perform clerical and administrative duties in support of patients, clinical dietitians, and patient meal services. They function in a spirit of teamwork and are accountable for adhering to the organization's standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

What You Will Do

• Visits all patients as assigned, assisting with menu selections and addressing patient or family member needs.
• Communicates pertinent clinical information to the Clinical Dietitian and relevant members of the patient care team.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Checks patient tray tickets against electronic medical records to ensure accuracy and consistency with diet orders and patient preferences.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, highly preferred.
• Additional college training in Dietetics or related field, preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
