Position Purpose
The Diet Clerks perform clerical and administrative duties in support of patients, clinical dietitians, and patient meal services. They function in a spirit of teamwork and are accountable for adhering to the organization's standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
What You Will Do
- Visits all patients as assigned, assisting with menu selections and addressing patient or family member needs.
- Communicates pertinent clinical information to the Clinical Dietitian and relevant members of the patient care team.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Checks patient tray tickets against electronic medical records to ensure accuracy and consistency with diet orders and patient preferences.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent, highly preferred.
- Additional college training in Dietetics or related field, preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
