Full Time Delivery Driver

C&S Wholesale Grocers aims to create the safest, most efficient, and service-focused fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver, you will begin your career by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching on the C&S Way, including company and regulatory requirements. After completing the new hire training program, you will maintain high customer satisfaction through product deliveries and other assigned duties, all performed safely and in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck, eighteen-wheeler, box truck, etc.) using specialized skills and knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and safely deliver product.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature-sensitive) product to customers, averaging 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Perform equipment inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Complete all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Exam.
• DOT certified with all qualification requirements.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• 0-2 years of recent tractor-trailer experience or participation/completion of a company-approved CDL truck driving school.
• One year of recent applicable Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) experience.
• Must comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures.
• Customer-service focused with a commitment to quality.

Work Environment

• Store: Freezer (-20°F to 0°F).
• Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28°F to 60°F).
• Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50°F to 90°F).
