About the role
Jovie is hiring an experienced, engaging and fun daycare + nanny childcare worker to work with various daycare facilities and families. You’ll provide care for young infants and toddlers while their parents work, so most assignments are Monday – Friday during traditional working hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for young infants and toddlers
- Engage, communicate, and be friendly with children and families
- Have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities
- Communicate with parents and coworkers
- Work 6 - 9 hour shifts between 7am - 7pm
- Bring at least 1 year of day-to-day infant experience
- Provide 3 references, 2 related to working with children, paid or unpaid, and 1 character reference
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Show reliability and be dependable for families
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 ECE units
- MMR vaccine and TB test
Qualifications
You genuinely enjoy children and are an engaging, creative, child-focused individual who is willing to have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities in daycare facilities and families' homes.
Skills
- Experience with children from babysitting, nannying, or group settings such as daycares, preschools, or church nurseries

Working Conditions and Requirements
- Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
- Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
- Essential Physical Requirements: Regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing; Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely; Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day; May need to react quickly to certain situations; Must be able to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
